About Lorne
I was born and raised on the family farm in Alliston which was built by my great-grandfather in 1898. The Downeys originally settled in the Alliston area in 1847 and the Gilroy's (my mother's side) in 1830. When I finished high school at Banting Memorial, I continued to farm in Everett for 28 years. In 2005 I began my own Design-Build company where I created custom woodworking projects and built custom homes. In 2012, I decided to put my extensive knowledge of houses to good use and became a realtor. In 2010 I built my own home in Alliston where I live with my wife Sandy. Together we raised 3 wonderful children, Kristin, Brendan and Ryan, who have all grown into incredible adults. I have always been actively involved in our community over the years by doing things such as coaching my kid's hockey and soccer and continue to play hockey and slo-pitch myself. As my Real Estate career has grown, I am very pleased that my wife of 30+ years joined me in January 2020. Together we will be the best team to help you in all your real estate needs.
